Intraschool Events

Public Examination Results

We are proud to announce that all our children who appeared for the 12th Class examination passed. I. Manimegalai obtained 534/600 marks, P. Vijayalakshmi 532/600 marks and L. Stara Elda Bobin 511/600. Manimegalai received centum in Economics. We congratulate our top scorers and all those who successfully passed the examination.

Pongal Celebrations

A grand celebration of Pongal, the festival of Tamils, was held in our school  campus on 13-01-2023. While the teachers prepared the Pongal sweet rice, the children  sang and dance  depicting  the greatness of Tamil culture.  The celebration ended with the sharing of Pongal rice and sugarcane.

Pallotti School Annual Day 2022-2023

The 21st  Annual Day (School Festival) was held on 03rd January 2022. The Students presented the best of their talents in the form of dance, drama, singing, etc.

The audience, which included parents, friends and well-wishers, applauded them for their superb performance.
The school topper from the 10th and 12th standard of 2022 was honored. Peter Rayan memorial Prize for the best performing 10th class student was given to Ms. K. Ranjitha
(carrying a cash award of Rs.5,000 and a citation) and Maria and Berthold Prize for the best performing 12th class student was given to Ms. S. Veera Lakshmi (a cash award of
Rs.10,000 and a citation). All the teachers who worked hard for achieving the centum result in the public examinations held by the state were appreciated with a citation. The chief guest, Fr. Jegath Gaspar, a Tamil intellectual and orator known to the Tamil speaking world appreciated the students for learning through their mother tongue – Tamil. He also appreciated the school  management for providing quality education free
of cost to the underprivileged children of this area.

Christmas Celebrations 2022

Christmas was celebrated in the school on 23 December 2022. It consisted of Christmas meal and a cultural program. The children sang Christmas carols, enacted nativity play and danced to the tunes of Tamil traditional Christmas melody. The staff received Christmas gifts from the management. The Children, though being  overwhelmingly Hindu, made a beautiful crib in front of the school. The Teachers and pupils wished Fr. Emmanuel in view of his forthcoming name’s day – Christmas.

Parents Teachers Association Meeting (PTA)

The First PTA meeting was held on 22 November  2022 in the school courtyard at 5.30 p.m. Most parents attended the meeting and offered constructive suggestions and critique.

Children's Day Celebrations:

Our school celebrated children’s day on 14-11-2022. The teachers took the responsibility to felicitate and entertain the children. Songs, dance and a thought provoking drama were presented. The uniqueness of the day was that the student leaders representing higher secondary and primary school presided over the function. 
The active participation of German volunteers was received with big applause by the pupils.

English Literary Assoication and Diwali (Festival of Lights) Celebrations 21-10-2022

It is a festival celebrated throughout India by the Hindus. In our school it was celebrated with the active participation of children. They presented dance and drama conveying social message.

Rector General Visits

Fr. Zenon Hanas, Rector General of the Pallottines, paid a visit to the school with Fr. Cargnin Vanderlei. Children felicitated the guests introducing Tamil Culture through various cultural programs.

Teachers Day Celebration

Teachers Day was celebrated in our school on 06-09-2022. The task of preparing a cultural bonanza in honour of their teachers was entrusted to the 12 class students. Through various creative performances they entertained the audience and made the teachers feel honoured. 

Annual Sports Day 2022

The 21st Annual Sports Day celebration was held on 13 August 2022.  Mr.Sivakumar, the inspector of police, Nagamalai, was the chief guest.  The students of the school who were divided into four houses - Green, Red, Yellow, Blue – enthralled the audience with colourful marchpast and presentation of various drills. The chief guest, while addressing the students, appealed them to be vary of the social media and not get into drug use. He also distributed prizes for the students who won competitions.

Orientation Workshop 

One day orientation workshop was conducted for Pallotti school teachers on 06-08-2022 at Pillar Center by Fr. Arul Edward, a faculty member of Anugraha counselling institute. 

All India Radio

At the invitation of the Director, All India Radio, Madurai, our Pallotti School Students presented a colourful program on various social themes such as environment, social justice, etc. The presentation was broadcast in two parts on 04-08-2022 and 18-08-2022. Many listeners appreciated our students for their presentation.

Annual Sports Day 2023

Students Parliament – 20th June 2022

In order to give a sense of ownership to our children towards the school we promote children’s parliament. The children forming in groups take responsibility for the various needs of the school. Guided by a teacher- animator each group takes care of various responsibilities such as mid-day meal, water, electricity, environment, cleanliness and communication.

Kalvi Valarchi Naal (Educational Development Day) and Science Association Day

The birthday of K.Kamaraj is celebrated in the schools throughout Tamil Nadu as Kalvi Valarchi Naal (Educational development day). The students of science association presented a cultural bonanza to commemorate this day. Through drama, skit, and speech the children recalled the exemplary life of Kamarajar particularly his effort to open schools in villages and provide free mid-day meal for poor children. Our students also presented awareness programs particularly the urgent need to protect the environment from manmade destructions. We are glad to present some of the photos of the event here.

Public Examination Results

The Education Department of Tamil Nadu published the results of examinations held for the 12th and 10th grades on 20 June 2022; the 11th grade results were released on 27 June 2022. All our students passed the examination, some with very high marks. In the 12th grade Veeralakshmi became the topper  with 513 marks (out of 600), in the 11th grade Vijayalakshmi with 501 marks (out of 600) and in the 10th grade Ranjitha with 439 marks (out of 500). We congratulate them and all the students, and their teachers for making the school proud with centum results. We are extremely glad to note that all the toppers this year are girls!

School Reopens

Pallotti School reopened for the new academic year 2022-2023 on 13 June 2022 with a prayer meet held at Vinzenzo Pallotti Hall, Pillar Center.  All the pupils, teachers and members of the school management – Pallottine Fathers of PILLAR - took part in it. Fr. Emmanuel, the school founder, exhorted the children to study well and follow the school discipline. Ms. G. Kamatchi, Principal, and Ms. Mary Steppin, Vice Prinicipal, introduced the new teachers to the students.

Farewell to our outgoing students

The students of 12th grade were given an affectionate farewell by the school on 23 April 2022. The 11th grade students made the necessary arrangements. Each outgoing student was presented with an Oxford English Dictionary as a present from the school management. The students shared their experience of school life beginning with kindergarten. Expressing their gratitude to the Pallottine Fathers and benefactors in Germany and Switzerland, they also presented from their savings a small sum of money to the school. Fr. Emmanuel accepting their donation appreciated their generosity and gratitude.

Prayers for those appearing for public examinations

Students appearing for public examination gathered in the Pallotti Chapel along with teachers and PILLAR-Pallottine Fathers for a prayer meet on 22-04-2022 at 09.00 a.m. The students sought divine help as they placed lit candles before the altar. They also prayed for their benefactors and teachers. The event was prepared by the teachers and was held in a prayerful atmosphere.

Associations Day

The school has several associations. These serve as platforms for children to develop their talents. Periodically cultural programs are presented by them. Unfortunately, due to the long closure of school, such events could not be held. First such an event after pandemic took place on  08-04-2022. This day happened to be the also the birthday of school’s founder Fr. Emmanuel Savariaradimai SAC. Children displayed their talents on the stage giving a strong message to save the planet from further destruction in the name of development. All enjoyed the dances, recital of poems, speeches, drama, etc. The handwritten magazine – “Manavar Kural” (voice of pupils) - was released by Fr. Emmanuel and the same was received by Fr. Roc Gerald SAC.
