Pongal Celebrations
A grand celebration of Pongal, the festival of Tamils, was held in our school campus on 13-01-2023. While the teachers prepared the Pongal sweet rice, the children sang and dance depicting the greatness of Tamil culture. The celebration ended with the sharing of Pongal rice and sugarcane.
Pallotti School Annual Day 2022-2023
The 21st Annual Day (School Festival) was held on 3 January 2022. The students presented the best of their talents in the form of dance, drama, singing, etc. The audience, which included parents, friends and well-wishers, applauded them for their superb performance.
The school topper from the 10th standard, Ms. K. Ranjitha, was awarded with Peter Rayan memorial Prize consisting of Rs.7,000 and a citation. The topper from the 12th standard, Ms. S. Veera Lakshmi, was awarded Maria-Berthold Decker Prize consisting of Rs.12,000 and a citation.
The chief guest of this year's festival was Mr. Willi Bennerscheidt, a benefactor and friend of our school right from its foundation. He participated in the event with his children and grand children. Mr. Bennerscheidt and his wife (not present due to health reasons) were honoured with a citation and the crowd gave a standing ovation. Mr. Willi Bennerscheidt in his speech praised the commitment of the school staff and Fr. Emmanuel for providing Quality Education for the poor and the downtrodden. He praised the students for their top class performance on the stage.
Christmas Celebrations 2022
Christmas was celebrated in the school on 23 December 2022. The children sang Christmas carols, enacted nativity play and danced to the tunes of Tamil traditional Christmas melody. The staff received Christmas gifts from the management. The Children, though being overwhelmingly Hindu, made a beautiful crib in front of the school. The joyful day ended with a Christmas meal and sharing of cakes for children and school staff.
Children's Day Celebrations:
Our school celebrated children’s day on 14-11-2022. The teachers took the responsibility to felicitate and entertain the children. Songs, dance and a thought provoking drama were presented. The uniqueness of the day was that the student leaders representing higher secondary and primary school presided over the function.
The active participation of German volunteers was received with big applause by the pupils.
English Literary Assoiciation and Diwali (Festival of Lights) Celebrations on 21-10-2022
The School celebrated the festival of lights known as Diwali. On this day the English literary association presented colourful programs such as dances and dramas conveying social amenity.
Teachers Day Celebration
Teachers Day was celebrated in our school on 06-09-2022. The task of preparing a cultural bonanza in honour of their teachers was entrusted to the 12 class students. Through various creative performances they entertained the audience and made the teachers feel honoured.
